Business and Commercial Areas
The Highland Village Police Department has collaborated with several major commercial shopping areas for video surveillance and signage in an effort to prevent and deter crime. Security camera systems have been strategically placed in many different public shopping areas and parking lots. These privately funded systems are housed and maintained by HVPD and are capable of being monitored at the Police Communications Center and other locations.
Parks and City Facilities
In addition to having monitoring capability in the business areas, the city has installed and uses digital video surveillance camera systems at key city facilities and major parks to enhance safety and security.
