The Highland Village Fire Department conducts Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training programs for Highland Village residents and residents in neighboring communities. These courses are American Heart Association-based modules, designed to educate all ages and groups in the proper method of assisting someone in cardiac arrest.
All classes are taught by members of the Highland Village Firefighters Association. These firefighters are certified by the American Heart Association as instructors for the Heartsaver CPR/AED program. Our goal is to provide as many residents as possible with valuable CPR and AED training.
THESE ARE NOT FIRST AID OR BLS/HEALTHCARE PROVIDER COURSES.
Courses for physicians, nurses and other health care providers are offered in the area. For a complete listing of Health Care Provider approved CPR courses in your area please visit the American Heart Association website or email the Fire Department to obtain contact information for a local instructor.
