In response to the recent COVID-19 disaster declarations and until further notice, certain non-public safety related services and responses have been temporarily modified. Online or telephone reporting will be encouraged for eligible crimes or incidents.
Our 33 police officers, 12 civilian support staff, and more than 30 police auxiliary volunteers are here to serve the citizens of our community. We build programs and people that support our Community Oriented Public Safety (COPS) philosophy. This means that all of our actions are directed at making Highland Village a safe and enjoyable place to live where citizens and visitors feel that they are partners with the Police Department and that they can come to us with any question, concern, or issue. The primary purpose of this partnership is to prevent criminal and safety related problems from occurring.
Message From the Chief
On behalf of the members of the Highland Village Police Department, I want to express my thanks to the citizens of our community who are the primary reason we have been ranked as one of the Safest Cities in North Texas since 2002. Without your help, we would not have been able to keep criminal activity to a minimum while at the same time providing quality community service programs.
I am very proud to serve as the Chief of Police for such a fine organization and community. I truly believe that our department and city are at the best that they have ever been and that by continuing to focus on our Community Oriented Public Safety (COPS) model, we will achieve even greater accomplishments.
