Responsibilities

The Finance Department provides:
  • Financial management, leadership, oversight, reporting, and services for the City through the collection and recording of revenues. 
  • Preparing, coordinating, and monitoring the City’s operating and capital budgets.
  • Accurate accounting and financial reporting. 
  • Administration of purchasing services. 
  • Investment of City funds to achieve maximum returns. 

Department Functions


Other functions included in the Finance Department: 
  • Municipal Court is responsible for accurate, expeditious service relating to all cases filed in the Municipal Court in accordance with City Ordinances and state laws.
  • Utility Billing responds to customer inquiries relating to new and existing utility accounts. Additionally, meter readings are recorded monthly for determination of utility bills.
