The City of Highland Village and the Parks and Recreation Board are soliciting your suggestions for naming a new city park located at 310 Highland Village Road known as the Doubletree Ranch.
The criteria for naming the new facility are summarized as follows:
1) By outstanding of predominate physical characteristics of the land such as:
2) In honor of a deceased community leader
3) In honor of a deceased national or state leader
4) Based on the activity, event, or function of the land
Please submit your suggestions via email to younameit@highlandvillage.org no later than September 20, 2010. You may also attend the Parks and Recreation Board meeting scheduled for September 20, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. and make your suggestions in person.

The City of Highland Village is sponsoring the Fall Clean-up Collection Event. This is an opportunity for Highland Village residents to dispose of the following - and at no cost to you!
Fall Clean-up Collection Information
The first segment, City Trail (2.7 miles), of the Inland Trails System is complete and ready for you to enjoy! Future segments of the Inland Trail System are detailed below. Sign up for eConnect to receive information on future trail meetings and developments. City Trail is 2.7 miles and runs from Sellmeyer to Hwy 2499 and includes five amenity stations. It is the first trail section that has been completed. This section was funded with a grant from TxDOT.

Construction timelines for additional trail sections coming soon. These sections are funded by half cent sales tax revenues. The Inland Trail Steering Committee, Parks and Recreation Advisory Board, Highland Village Community Development Corporation and City Council have reviewed and approved adopting the Facilities Development Capital Improvement five-year plan that is updated each year as required.
