HVPD Holds 10th Annual Fallen Officers Bike Race & 5K

TXFallenPD Bike Race

On Saturday, October 21 the Highland Village Police Department will hold the 10th Annual Fallen Officers Bike Race and 5K at The Shops at Highland Village. An officer is killed in the line of duty every 61 hours. Throughout history, there have been more line of duty deaths in the State of Texas than any other state or territory. The Texas Police Chiefs Association's Fallen Officer Fund ("the Fund") provides monetary assistance to Texas families of fallen heroes within 24 hours following an officer’s line of duty death. The Fallen Officers Bike Race is a community event that takes place at The Shops at Highland Village. At the heart of everything is the desire to honor the lives of the officers who have sacrificed all. This year a special presentation will be made to honor the fallen. Activities include a 5K run, civilian bike race, and a police team bike race. There is live music, demonstrations, raffle prizes, a silent auction, kids zone, food, and drinks throughout the day. Come out and help us honor the men and women who protect us daily, remember those who have given their life for that purpose and help us support the families of these heroes.
