UPDATE: Work on Highland Village Road Now Underway, Expect Delays

Highland Village Road Repairs

Expect delays on Highland Village Road the week of November 14. The overlay project contractor is performing pavement grinding to areas of the road.

The inspection of the final overlay of Highland Village Road found approximately 65 areas to be out of compliance with surface test specifications. Staff held an onsite meeting with the contractor and they have agreed to perform pavement grinding of the out of compliance areas to achieve ride quality for the overlaid section of Highland Village Road. It’s anticipated that the pavement grinding operation will take approximately two days to complete and should be completed by November 16. Once the road surface meets specification, the striping will be placed and the project closed.
