On Tuesday, May 16, I attended the North Texas Smart Cities Summit. It was an opportunity for municipal stakeholders along with federal and state policy advocates together with academic and industry thought leaders to address Smart Cities and Transportation Planning, Funding, Deployment, Operation, and Success.

City Manager's Weekly Update

We held the ceremonial swearing-in ceremonies for Councilmember Mike Lombardo and newly-elected Councilmember Dan Jaworski. Councilman Fred Busche was unable to attend the meeting on Tuesday. We welcome back Mike and Fred and welcome Dan to the Council.

City Manager's Weekly Update

At Tuesday’s Council meeting we recognized outgoing Councilmember Bill Meek for his eight years of service on the City Council. Bill began his service to the community nearly as soon as he moved to Highland Village in 2006 when he was appointed to the Zoning Board of Adjustment (ZBA). He served on the ZBA until 2009 when he was elected to Place 7 on the City Council. Bill was actively involved in the City and represented the Council at nearly every City and regional event. We appreciate his service and wish him well!
