Incidents defined:
  • False alarm calls include malfunctioning smoke and co detectors, accidental alarm activation, and other false alarms.
  • Fire incidents include building, cooking, chimney, trash, grass, and vehicle fires, as well as all other type of fires.
  • Good intent calls include calls cancelled in route, no incident found upon arrival, smoke scare, and other related calls.
  • Hazardous with no fire include incidents without fire, including gas spills or leaks, electrical overheating, arcing and shorts, explosive removal, vehicular accident clean-up, down power lines and other hazards.
  • Rescue & EMS calls include motor vehicle accidents, extrication, search and rescue, lock-in, medical assists, and EMS standby.
  • Service calls include non emergency lock-out, water leak, smoke or odor investigation, animal problems, invalid assist and assisting police or other governmental agencies.
  • Severe weather and natural disasters include flood assessments, lightning strikes without fire, and severe weather/natural disaster stand-bye.
